Membership

CTS welcomes all who are interested in theological scholarship in Canada as members.  Whether you are a student, faculty, researcher, clergy, lay, or other there is a place in the Canadian Theological Society for you. We have four membership categories to reflect the diversity of our membership: regular, student, retired, and unwaged. Each enjoys the same membership benefits. In our company we also have individuals who have been granted Life Membership in our  society as a expression of our gratitude for their meaningful contributions to theology in Canada.

Full membership includes a subscription to Studies in Religion. To facilitate membership in other Canadian Corporation for Studies in Religion societies for which Studies in Religion subscriptions are also included, it is possible to be an associate member of CTS. Associate members have all the privileges of full membership, but do not receive a subscription to SR.

Our membership year is a calendar year. We have an easy-to-use online membership management tool that lets you pay by cheque or credit card. It will even send you friendly prompts when your membership is about to expire.

CTS membership fees do not include registration fees for Congress or the CTS annual meeting. When you register for Congress you’ll have a chance to select CTS from their drop-down menu and the fee schedule will appear.
